A story about the founders of the social-networking website, Facebook. This films is otherwise known as ‘The Facebook Movie’ or ‘Facebook The Movie’.
I joined Facebook probably late in 2004 if not early 2005, at the time I was merely looking for an alternative to MySpace and I would rather die than use Friendster. One of the first things I noticed about Facebook was that it was clean albeit a little slow at the time. I didn’t really care much about the apps. I didn’t become active on Facebook until 2007, having my own website and blog to update just made it hard, I can’t even recall where the invite came from. By that time it was apparent that the website has become quite successful. Out of curiosity I searched on Google on how Facebook was founded and read how its history is marred by controversy. Anyways there’s really no point in explaining that now, the movie is coming which some critics believed are just a “dramatisation of history”.
I won’t be rushing out to the cinemas to watch this film, I’ll wait until it is released on BluRay and watch it in the comfort of my own home where I have the option to turn it off.
