It’s A Machine

About 6 weeks ago, I completed my second PC build but this time I actually got to keep the machine and not leave after completing it feeling envious and wishing that I had one. My laptop served me well, the old HP Pavillion Zv5022 was with me through many sleepless and frustrating nights when I had code and fix php errors on sites that I’m doing ‘pro-bono” work on. I’ve cursed at its heat when resting my palms on its keyboard but in the end it did its job and we parted ways.

Now I have the a machine that I can boast about at least for another 3 months or so until it becomes a “so so machine” I’ve detailed the following specs below and the final cost of this project.

  • AMD X2 3800+ dual core processor
  • Leadtek 7800GTX 256mb
  • 2GB PQI Turbo DDR RAM
  • 250GB Seagate SATA HD
  • MSI K8N Diamond SLI Motherboard
  • 19″ CMV LCD 8ms Monitor
  • MX3100 Wireless Desktop set
  • Logitech X-530 5.1 Speakers.
  • Pioneer 110 DVD-RAM/RW
  • CoolerMaster Centurion 5 Series case

Final Cost: $2800 AUD

So thats about it, as you can see it’s better than your average but it will soon be just that “average” hopefully I can save up a few more dollars before that time comes. So far there is nothing to complain about except for the slightly noisier system fan on the mobo or may its just me being paranoid cos I actually put the damn thing together. I have yet to take picturs of it, mainly because my room is such a god damn mess, it would be a shame to actually include it in the picture.
