Construction – Week 13 Update

Here we are almost 3 weeks into May and have once again been delayed by rain. Our brick layer set out had been scheduled last week but once again due to rain it was a write-off. This week however when the weather has been totally dry, the bricklayers were not available. This has been frustrating and disheartening for us when the single biggest factor that has caused delays in our build is the weather. So once would expect that when it’s sunny & warm, tradies will be onsite working on your house as per schedule.

We have had some work done since the last update, this included the windows being installed, lower frames being wrapped and our three phase power being connected to the network supply. Our weekly updates from our SS are still happening on schedule at least even thought he hasn’t had much to tell me. He did mention that this brickie is one of their best ones that they use and he is worth waiting for, I don’t know if this is something he tells all his clients but now I’m expecting big things.

The plan is to complete the ground floor bricks followed by the roof which is a pretty good compromise in my opinion as it means our internal frames and first floor boards won’t be subjected to more rain over the winter period.
