2 days, 8 hours, 10 minutes and 14 seconds – that’s exactly how long ago since our lives will be changed forever. My wife woke me up around 3am in the morning of the 12/10/12 and quietly said “Babe, I think it’s time”
12 hours after that, our first daughter had arrived in to the world. I’ve heard, read and watched many fathers describe the feeling of what it’s like to be a dad for the first time and now I can safely say, I understand. It is truly something you’d never forget, the first gaze and the first time they hold on to your fingers with their tiny little hands.
I don’t know that I’ll ever be a “Father of the Year” type but one thing is for sure, I will certainly try.
